Compilation CD

Brick City Records is continuing to look for artists/bands (preferably Athens based or with an Athens following) to be featured on an upcoming benefit compilation CD. If you are in a band, or know of one, and would like to be featured, please email artist@brickcityrecords.com. We will be finalizing bands over winter break, so please submit your suggestions soon! (All genres/sounds welcome!) We are also looking forward to the return of Brannigan Dastardly! The boys will be retuning to play a show in Athens sometime in the next couple months. More details on this show will be released as commitments can be made. For now look for upcoming giveaways of holiday cheer from the boys!

Brick City Records would like to thank the bands (Mindfish, IPhonic, and the Wallabeez), 19 South, Speakeasy and all the fans who came out to celebrate our Website Relaunch show. It was a great success and we look forward to putting on more shows next quarter. Please continue to help spread the word about Brick City's new website!

The Wallabeez, Mindfish, iPhonic to Play Relaunch Show.

This Saturday, come support Brick City Records and Speakeasy Magazine at 19 South in Athens, Ohio! The joint website-relaunch show happens at 11pm, and The Wallabeez are headlining, with Mindfish and iPhonic scheduled to open. Please come out, bring your friends, and show support for local Athens artists!

On October 3rd, Brick City Records will host a joint website relaunch show with SpeakEasy Magazine. The doors will open at 7:30pm at 19 South Bar & Grill in Athens, Ohio, and The Wallabeez will be headlining.

Many Brick City Records Updates.

We have a new website! After a year of planning, the new site is up! A big thank you to Mike Crofts for putting this website together!

We also have a show in progress! Brick City Records is looking to put on a show for Ohio University students’ first month back in September.  If you are interested in helping plan this show, or your band is interested in playing, please contact president@brickcityrecords.com

On May 30th, 2009, Brick City put on it’s first ever Battle of the Bands at 19 South in Athens, Ohio. Eight bands competed and in the end, The Wallabeez took the grand prize of 10 hours of studio time at 3 Elliot Studio, a $20 gift card from The Blue Eagle music store, and a percentage of the door cost. Second place went to ofHuman who won 6 hours of studio time at the School of Media Arts and Studies’ studio, a $10 gift card from The Blue Eagle, and a percentage of the door cost.
